1) To update Cirrus Logic Video Card Drivers for Windows 3.1 or 3.11 determine which of the Cirrus Logic Video Drivers you need. This can be done by:
Identifying the video driver currently being used. To do this In Program Manager open the Main Group and double click on the Windows Setup Icon. Next to Display there should be listed the driver in use. It should look something like the following:
CL GD-54xx v1.43
Where CL = Cirrus Logic. GD = Graphics Display, 54xx = the driver type (The Driver type can be 5422/5424/5426/5428/5434) and v = driver version.

2) Once you have identified the driver needed open the Options Menu. Select Change System Settings. Click on the down arrow next to the Video driver name. Scroll though the list and click on VGA. A message should appear that the driver is already on the system. Select Current. If the driver is not on the system you will need your Windows Diskettes. Once the driver is changed a dialog box will appear prompting you to restart Windows.
3) To install the drivers. Open the File Menu and select RUN. In the command line type in the appropiate path to the driver you wish to install.
For 5422 or 5424 type in the following, substitute the CD-ROM drive letter for D: if different:
D:\cirrus\5422-24\DISK1\install.exe
For 5426 or 5428 type in the following, substitute the CD-ROM drive letter for D: if different:
D:\cirrus\5426-28\DISK1\install.exe
For 543x type in the following, substitute the CD-ROM drive letter for D: if different:
D:\cirrus\543x\DISK1\install.exe
Once the install is complete it will prompt you to restart windows.
If windows is unable to restart, the setup can be run from the DOS prompt in the Windows directory. Type Setup at the DOS prompt. on the system information screen. You can use the arrow keys to change the video driver.
